68 "plain jane" Charger

I took this picture in fall of 1982 in Beltsville, MD along U.S. Route 1. I just thought it was a very clean car so I took a quick picture. Almost 30 years later, the McDonald's is still there. The Charger isn't.

Vintage photo 70 R/T

Photo was taken in 1982, probably November. This car just showed up in the neighborhood one day. It wasn't there long, the car was gone in a matter of days. It wouldn't surprise me if the car was abandoned there and the locals just called the cops to have it towed off. It actually was only two blocks from my house in Greenbelt, Maryland. The front end sits kind of high, like the motor had possibly been removed.

I like that license plate/frame!!

I had a friend who actually got the "426 HEMI" personalized plate in his state. Hard to believe that nobody else had it already, but then that was back in the late 70's when he got it.

I still have the original dealer license plate frame from when the car was purchased. I met up with the Cunningham's at the Speed fest in San Diego (North Island). They sell BMW's now, but told me that they did own a Plymouth Dealership in the 60's. Not sure why I've kept it on the car...
