One of my newest additions to my antiques I also got a second Victorian bedroom set looks like the following pic (pic is of set one) second set is basically the same but a brown marble top instead of white IMAG0103_BURST002.jpg IMAG0105_BURST001.jpg IMAG0106_BURST002.jpg

IMAG0579_BURST002.jpg IMAG0569_BURST001.jpg then a few of my pride and joy clocks .the little one I bought for $50 as an anniversary gift for my wife I dropped it off to my clock shop to get it running $100+$50 for speedy repair. he then found out that it's a extremely rare 1886 clock made in n.y. and was Worth $3500 he of course tried to buy it because he knew a guy that wanted one. I told him nope it's mine ! the other is a German made grandfather that has a build date carved into it of 1857 I've had this verified and it is legit I basically traded for the clock and I had about $400 -500 into my trade item the German clock is work
$6-$10k but it's so old I can't get the parts it needs to make it run we found 2 of the 3 gears once number three comes up and the clock will run the value will increase by $4-5K but numbers are only what someone will pay I don't plane on selling it so I can care less I just like it alot.when I need a paint job on my charger it might be time to let something go,and the greatest thing the value will only go up on the rarer stuff

Was the tunnel originally used for smuggling?
No, it carried hot air from brick kilns to a huge blower, then was sent to an adjacent building the dry wet bricks before firing. A very early way to make best use of energy and utilize otherwise wasted heat.56d2727415b46.image~2.jpgIt's between the round kilns and the large flat roof rectangular area, and runs the whole length between.

The roof of the tunnel is in the center of this picture with men standing on top of the arched roof. This was near the "end" at the far west. Reconstruction after a fire in the 1920s.IMG_20161106_003405.jpg
