They are powered with electric motors. The diesel engine runs a generator and is goverened on demand AFAIK......................MOTrain with carloads of paper coming in to work. This old diesel ran so smooth and quiet you would think it was gasoline.View attachment 378103

Me too, all of that except the GTO, Uncle had a 69 RT, too young for Woodstock. If someone had shown me a bike helmet in 1965 I would have laughed at them. My parents had a big Ford Econoline extended back van that was bare inside. All 6 of us, plus 4-7 neighbor kids would pile in and ride to the ice cream stand. Like pinballs back there. Great fun. Recess fights were common, good exercise
We drank Tang and survived
We passed around liquid Mercury in school - it was cool
They put mercurichrome on every little scratch
My Aunt had a new GTO convertible - she was cool (yep she still has it)
