Me too. I left in April 2010. I have all that stuff in a box.

I still got em, still use them. We have a shitload down range we keep adding to. When we ( 4 of us) get out of theater perminantly, we’re going to a class 6 and buying a handle of Jack with it and talk old times.

I did GM for years, but never understood why you couldn't use a 273, 318, 360 or a 340 in a car like that. 350's are a dime a dozen, but I would have stayed true to the car. Just my opinion.

I agree fully! But that's only for certain cars that car needs a 340 in it !
A Dodge needs a Dodge a Chevy a Chevy and a Ford needs anything but a Ford!
My brother in law has a mustang and it has an ls1 shoved down in it ! Upgrade!
Ls1 shoved in a Mopar anything (down grade)

I have this 38 caddy I've been playing with fire awhile I thought about sticking a Mopar eng in it to just get people going !
But I can't a gm needs a gm so a Chevy 350 we will go !

So there I was driving down the road when I felt this weird presence!
I look up and said dang look at that ragged pile of poop behind me !
Who would own such a junk bomb !
Then I look closer and there's no one in the freaking car!!!! Everywhere I drove it was right there ! Then it occurred to me I was drinking again and got another junk chebby!

But seriously I was looking left and right for a g body frame for my caddy project so I could have an easier time putting air ride on and getting better / newer stuff under it !
Found a few from $550-$750 2-4 hours away
I wasn't having it ! Found a $400 g body down the street ! I said great called it's gone !
I'm ready to call guy with the $500 setup then I said well I'll look more tomorrow !
This morning I get up (never look at adds in morning) I get on wife's Facebook market place because I had a feeling no crap I see this 79. Elco 10 mins away for free! I said well that would be perfect figured it's gone already!
Look at how old 6 mins ago !
I msg him he said it's there I said pull add I'm on the freaking way ! Few hours later (had to drop baby off get trailer ,get chain from a buddy's house that borrowed it) then get to car got it drug up and away I went !
Sadly the ford suffered front brake caliper failure on way home was dragging the pad ! This is the second one to fail after only 2000 miles ! Rock auto sucks!

I gave a handful to my grandson, he was in awe. Loves everything military and hunting. He was 8 at the time.

LOL I am retired and go to the commissary in Carlisle on occasion to stock up (way cheaper) wonder if they still take them? Bet the look on the cashiers face would be priceless!
