Took my favorite two wheel toys out for a last spin this afternoon before putting them away for the season.......

The cars got tucked in yesterday. Now on to work on the plow truck.

I want to post this !
Not every car can be saved!
This car is a rusty mess!
Someone skim coated the car over bare metal! Not one body panel on this car savable! The roof was held together by the top. Then the stuff they couldn't Bondo they glassed!
The shop that "restored this car in early 2000 is still open the person I bought it from was going to send it back to be restored again!
$20000 was the quote they gave them!

Just keep in mind guys not all shops are the same!
This thing is horrible I pulled motor out they didn't bother actually bolting the motor mounts down! Found alot of that actually threw the car !

The guy I bought the 71 Sat parts car from was sad to sell it as he had planned to have it restored.

Only 2 good panels on the 318 car and most of the uni-body rusted with holes as big as 8 inches.

Had already been filled with bondo once, covering all the trim holes as well as the gaping rust holes.

I have several chunks of bondo bigger than a human hand that have fallen off.

That corner of the rear windshield gutter was rebuilt with bondo.

8 inches by 8 inches and 3 inches thick.

Thankfully the 71 deck lid with spoiler mount holes is one of the good panels.
Lip has pulled away but not rusty. Could be blasted clean, painted and crimped back. hard to find un-rusted out 71-74 deck lids.
