I remember , but, we have an actual A&W rootbeer stand here in Middlebury VT. Go there all the time in the summer. About 6 miles away from me.

Ditto . . . kind of . . . My dad has one of them located near his house in Tennessee . . . sorry - don't have a pic, will have to get one next time I'm out that way . . .

Root beer floats were/are a staple between me and my daughters . . . we'd have them all the time ! ! !

Man that place was one of my favorites you can't beat the root beer or the floats...ahhhhh so good.

We have a A&W inside a KFC, not the same.

What I miss is a Twisty Freeze, or a Dairy Queen. I liked the Sonic drive In's in the South too

We do have a Dairy Queen and a Sonic, both fairly new.

Richardson's root beer was the best! Worked at Blackies Hot dog stand as a teen. They served it there out of a barrel dispenser, you see them on ebay. Stopped serving it because you had to buy 500 cases of syrup, that's 2000 gallon cans. Don't know if there still in business, Rochester ny?

I remember when places sold Coke syrup, anyone else?

We used to have A&Ws everywhere. The building are still in place. Typically a Mexican Restaurante now.

When I was a boy, beaver sightings were like snipe huntin.
