That looks like a stock length '64 spring, because it is not bolted through the rear holes in the S/S hanger. Be aware of the different spring lengths.
The front segment length from positioning pin to front eye on S/S spring (really an A-body spring) is 20" . The same segment length on a '62-'65 spring is 21" . On ' 66-'70 spring, the measurement is 22" . When putting S/S springs on a '66-'70 B-body (the most common swap, and the application that these hangers were designed for), the 2" extended brackets must be used to make up for this 2" difference in segment length. However, on '62-'65 B-bodies, only a 1" extension is required, meaning that another set of holes must be drilled 1" rearward of the holes supplied on the S/S brackets. I would double check to see if you have the same wheelbase on both sides of the car!

Both springs are the same 20" length pin to eye. I've just never seen a spring with no wear plates like it, although the leaf length steps are identical to the 455 spring. You can see where there are both bolted in on the SS hanger in both pictures and they're identical.

It could have been out together by a local spring shop?
