First, thank you for your service!as an Army Veteran I can say that piece of equipment was my favorite. Nothing like the sound of brrrrrrrp when we were in theatre. I think these things scared most insurgents more then our Blackhawk's and Apache's.

There are a list of weapons and equipment the military uses that is bad to the bone, but when I see a warthog the hair on the back of my neck stands up!!! A flying cannon that can survive more damage than anything we have and still be extremely dangerous. A beautiful machine.
More Lumière pictures:THESE ARE NOT COLOURIZED. Although Kodachrome and Agfa colour film were still decades away, the Autochrome Lumière process, invented in France, was patented in 1903. These weren't printed on paper, they were viewed much like a slide transparency. Here's a sample from way back when, the dates are when they were first taken.
