Im on my 3rd WK2 grand cherokee. The last one a 2014 had about 200K miles and still was a great rig. My current one is a 2021 trailhawk. already 50K miles.

My initial concern was; how would the Grand Cherokee ride compared to my Durango? I thought that the GC might ride harsher, because it may be biased towards off-roading, plus the shorter wheelbase. But, my concerns were unfounded, since the Jeep rides as well as the Durango. I have found the handling of both vehicles to be very good, a tribute to the IRS in both. Transitioning from the Durango to the GC was easy, because the dash layout and controls were the same. The shorter Jeep is easier to parallel park, plus it has the rear view camera that my Durango did not have. Over the 6 years that I had the Durango, I enjoyed it, and expect the same from my GC.
In Canada, all Durangos are AWD. Are there 2WD Durangos available in U.S?

I like the Durango size just fine but am finally done paying the extra $15+ "oversized" NYC parking lot charges. It's no way near as big as a Tahoe ... *******.
Just didn't want to get into the GC if it didn't have the same road manors.
Not certain about 2WD Durangos, thought they were all AWD.

This is hardpan. Some type of weird dirt that is impervious to water like clay, but doesn't get slick and slimy like clay.

Stays in place and doesn't rut when wet. Gets harder over time.

Called the owner yesterday and he showed up with his guy and equipment this morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, based on the '71 Plymouth in the background, that pic is not from 1969. The '71s showed up around August of '70 so it was taken in '70 or later. In any event, I fixed it.
