I came into my wife's family as the youngest and believe it or not, I was seen and not heard. As time went by I was called upon to make things happen. When my father in law pasted away it was me that took care of my mother in laws portfolio and home. Theresa and her sister were always there, but, my brother in law was never there and many times my sister in law would complain to Theresa and she would look at me and I would make it happen. We loaned them money, gave them money, would be the more appropriate term. It was fine with me as long as Theresa was happy. When my mother in law and my sister in law passed away my brother in law was on the loose, buying property and looking for the beginning of a new chapter in his life. He came up to me one day while I was emptying my in-laws' house after her death and told me he wanted to go through their house to take what he wanted. I told him if I ever found one finger print from just one of his dick skinners on anything in that house, I'd cut them off. He moved to the boondocks and was never seen again. He died last year, and this is one of the things he wanted. My in-laws were born in 1915, and this gold watch was my father in laws father and then his father. His mail carrier badge and an old tie pin. I carried all of them to their final resting place, except my brother in law, I would have fed him to the buzzards if he hadn't run off. I will hold on to them till my time comes.

Did it come with a bunch of radio equipment?
They left a bunch of obsolete stuff. Every lens [other than the headlights] had pin-hole cameras. The roof vent was a periscope before I got it. The driver's area looked like it was just delivered....except for all the electronic switches and stuff. It had a kill-switch for the brake-lights, so they could roll on scene in stealth mode. You can see the dead-bolts on the doors.IMG_0170.JPG

Typical surveillance-van of the era. Mine had the periscope, seats, and about 2/3 of the wiring/equipment removed. It had plugs for 110 and 220 exterior plug-ins. The side-door step area, had 3 additional car batteries in it. The floor had an additional 1"+ flooring. It also had something in the walls so stiff, you could swing a closed fist on the sides and nothing moved...at all. All tolled up, there were a dozen cameras/minimum in the thing.
