I have 2x4s that I use in my garage. I pull my 91 Daytona in, get it about an inch from the back wall. Made spacers - a 2x4 "curb" laying in the floor for the front wheels to hit at that spot, and 2 boards from that one to the wall so it stays in the right spot. Basically a 2x4 "U" on the ground.

Behind it, I built another setup from the Daytona's rear wheels, to another board for my grand Cherokee. (garage is -barely- 2 cars deep). I back the jeep in behind the Daytona, there's an inch between the 2 cars and an inch from the garage door to the jeeps front plate. No guesswork, no in-and-out.
