Brooklyn Supreme. Brooklyn stood a whopping 6-foot-6-inches tall and weighed 3,200 pounds. The photo was taken some times in the 1930's and is just a glimpse into the giant horse. Amazingly, each of his shoes needed 30 inches of iron, and he was once shown across the US, where people paid 10 cents to see him.

If that horse is 6'-6" then those are some very short men standing next to him. Jockeys?

Horses are measured at the withers (sp?). That's the spot on the shoulders approximately above the guy with the dark suit's hat
