Not a Mopar, but here's what I play with when I'm not messing with my R/T. I've always loved these cars, and have owned them off and on for years. Supercharged, intercooled, IRS, computer-adjusted suspension, and lots more. Mine's a 5-speed, which is a bonus.
I looked for years for a one-owner, low mileage, survivor, and found this one in Michigan. Was always a summer toy, so never saw winter. It's in amazing original condition and I got all the paperwork from day-one with it. I've had it for about 10 years, and don't drive it much. Just preserving and allowing it to appreciate. I also collected all the literature, special dealership tools, and tons of NOS parts. Wish I'd done the same thing with my Mopars back in the day when everthing was cheap!
In the eyes of Texas, she just became an "antique" on Wednesday; 25 model years old. So, now I can get year-of-manufacture tags, and finally forego the emmissions testing; much cheaper.
I always liked those, TX67RT. I remember when they came out I was hoping they'd be as fast as the Buick turbo Regals. Well they're certainly a lot more refined. Yours looks very nice.
Thanks for your compliment! I really like the SC's; they're awesome road cars. There's quite a following for these cars, and there are guys that get incredible performace with not much modification effort. They really respond to opened up exhaust, overdriven supercharger, and more intercooling. Pretty much the usual stuff, and easy to do. But they are pretty fun to drive stock also; loads of torque right off idle and very decent top end. Certainly no comparison to my R/T, but still fun for a more modern car.
