Tony passed in June of this year. As you said a great guy. His son brought his 442 to the car show this year. There’s Tony! He was quite a guy! Did he still have his little coupe? I heard he passed about a year or so ago. I know he lost his wife a few years ago. Always had those Dodge/Ram pickups. Great guy who loved being a part of the car community. I was at a few of the big Kenosha shows, with the car, he helped set up. RIP Tony! Thanks for the memories and the pic!
That car was ground zero for the beginning of the end of GM's market dominance.
Did they transport these like this? Photo looks real but I can’t imagine they survived not to mention had to be shipped dry…That car was ground zero for the beginning of the end of GM's market dominance.
Yep... chained down, flipped up and away they went.Did they transport these like this? Photo looks real but I can’t imagine they survived not to mention had to be shipped dry…
Yep. Cars were shipped with only 10% fluids filled. Dealers had to top off fluids before starting the cars.Did they transport these like this? Photo looks real but I can’t imagine they survived not to mention had to be shipped dry…
The folks had a 1960 to 880 which has the same tail lights (or very similar). Traveling down a gravel road one dark night I was in the backseat, marveling at how the tail lights lit the dust and looked like rocketsDetailed, but un-restored.
