I wondered if it was a GM Y platform, but I don't recall ever seeing stacked round tail lights on any Tempest before.

Well! I had to go look that up. I'm finding two different rear end treatments on the 1963 Tempest, how odd. Most look like this:

but some do have the round lights, which I don't think I've ever seen in person. I'll have to check on model variations.

I did know that the wagons had those stacked tail lights though.




I wonder if it was a Tempest vs. LeMans difference.
