Hell I built it, I can use house paint if I want! LOL That said, it's painted with PPG 2 part epoxy urethane. Yesterdays touch ups came out of a can of Tremclad!I had several friend that had planes and flew quite a bit. I don't know about all the rules up in Canada, but they have so many take off and landing in so many days, I believe it was 90. I don't care how good of a mechanic people think they are, they don't allow a mechanic at your local car dealer to service a plane. Records on top of records. There are strict regulations set by aviation authorities on what paint to use. The guy across the street from me was an IT guy for boeing and a certified aircraft mechanic. Epoxy paint was his go to paint and I watched him do his mustang with it. After a few years of using it, it killed him. Following the rules was not his forte.

Sure looks good.Just paperwork and some fuel now.
