What is the definition of your camp, three or four bedroom house. Is the one you just built a room addition.

Generally most people refer to their cottages North of hwy17 camps. The ones in that shot are a good 10 miles East of the highway, used to be air access only but can now get to the lakes shore using about 20 miles of crappy bush roads. It takes an hour driving from the highway if they don't break something or get stuck.

Ours I call camp even though we have power. 800 Sq ft dump with 3 TINY bedrooms. Gotta go out in the hall to change your mind!

Here a camp is usually a commercial enterprise catering to hunting and fishing. Also there are religious bible camps, scouts camps and day camps. All geared to short term enjoyment.
Southern part of the province has cottages.
Further north we have cabins and some cottages.
When they are lived in year round, usually called homes.
