Check my new toy out I've always wanted to play with a bow and arrow but never got into it well I had a deal come up today and the poor guy lost the tip of his hand and they re attached it but he can't use this anymore and decided to let it go so I was the first guy to make a reasonable offer on it . Apparently these things are freaking expensive,I truly didn't know that. This particular bow was about $600-700 new plus all the add-ons ect. He guy had around $1100+ in receipts of everything on this bow that's not including arrows witch I won't even start on I'll just say there's arrows for $60 each (one arrow) anyways I traded my Smith and Wesson m.p. shield 9mm and 150 rds and a holster so about $500 worth of stuff so I got the bow at half price because the dude got his hand taken apart in a garage door spring . So yeah poor him lucky me I played with it a while ago it is sweet what do you guys think anyone have any ?
Bumper crop of cherries this year, earlier than usual. I was already eating them in May. This tree was so eager to produce, it even popped one out of the main trunk.
my new to me late 1800's bedroom set , these two didn't come together, I stumbled upon one a year ago in an antique shop but it was expensive so I passed then I found the dresser 2 months ago on C.L. the lady wanted $40.00 for it. She said I was 3rd in line so I jumped the offer to $120 she said I'm now first in line. So 3 hour drive I got it. Then after looking at it once I got it home I thought to myself dang that looks familiar ,then it clicked I called the little antique shop up sure enough they still had the bed frame . I offered to trade her some items and we worked a deal out she got rid of the huge bed that no one wanted and got sell able inventory and I got the exact matching bed frame for my dresser. I found maker marks and sure enough there from the same maker. The dressers marble is dated 03 20 1887,and the bed is marked March 87 also . So I'm guessing they were together at one point not sure if they were a pair sold together and split ways in the area the lady I got the bed from said she picked it up 3 hours away at an auction and the lady I got the dresser from said there was more to the set but her son got rid of it 5-6 years back when she was in the hospital, she got an automated bed for medical reasons, she said she was so upset when she got home and it was gone .It's amazing that they came back together after all that . I sent the lady I got the dresser from a picture and she said that's the bed and couldn't believe I found a picture of it then I explained I bought it at an antique shop. She said she wrote her initials on the back of the head board and the dresser when she inherited it from her parents so that her siblings didn't take (her parents bought them new) well I looked and yes her initials are there . She was thrilled that the set was back together and asked me to take care of her old furniture and never split it up. She calls me every now and then to ask about them to see if I still had them. She thought I was just going to buy and resale the stuff as a set . I would make a killing if I did . I was offered $3500 for the set by a very well known collector in my area ,he's trying to put together a house built in 1885 and wants to do period furniture. He comes by my place often because I have most everything in the area that was in the 1800's I've been nice and sold him some extras but he's not getting this set it will stay with me till I die or need money really really bad . Sorry for the book but the story is part of the sets charm enjoy
And if y'all want more antique picture s just ask I'll get pictures of my sitting room and dining room
