I was looking up some information on my car yesterday, I have a stack one inch thick of receipts from almost everything in it. The cost was stupid and getting worse. It takes deep pockets to pull one out of the trash.Yes, it would be a cool car when it's done, but it needs a lot of work. Look at that hood & why no engine pictures? What's something like this worth when it's done....35-40 grand tops? Bidding is now at 20 grand & the reserve is not met. Personally, I can't see it being worth any more.

This new front end and a few other goodies I just had done cost 15K, by a friend! He asked me if I was going to sell it. There was three prices, friends, customers and flippers... He hates flippers and will do one dry if they show up. They ruin the hobby.I have a pile here like that.. i never add it up, just keep adding to it.. I know it's over 20k into a car worth 12k...
I never keep receipts, one a part works. I'd have to have a garage to keep them, and it would just make me feel mentally ill, to see them.I have a pile here like that.. i never add it up, just keep adding to it.. I know it's over 20k into a car worth 12k...

I've let others pay for it. When I bought my Chrysler 300F, the receipts totaled over three times what I paid for the car.I was looking up some information on my car yesterday, I have a stack one inch thick of receipts from almost everything in it. My fifth GTX has been in the possession of flippers since I sold it in 2021. The car hasn't been driven a mile in that time. What a waste. I hope the last one gets stuck when the bubble bursts, and a hobbyist gets a good deal. This new front end and a few other goodies I just had done cost 15K, by a friend!
