In Canada, we got rid of those years ago. People bitched and complained at first, but life went on. If you pay by cash or debit card, the amount gets round to the nearest 5 cents. If you pay by credit card, it gets charged to the penny. We can't have the banks giving you a break! I imagine the Nickel is next.
