Some time ago on Ebay, I stumbled across someone selling a roll of film containing 1959 advertising for Plymouth. It seemed like the sort of film that would be projected picture after picture while a separate soundtrack (which I don't have) would be added. It looks like a training film to let salesmen know how to sell the next year's model car.

Here are a few scans - I imagine the dialogue would have involved a new car buyer showing his neighbor the finer points of his new purchase, even though the cars aren't all the same colour.

In all, there were 48 pictures on the roll. I don't think anyone else bid on it so I got it for not much more than the shipping cost.

Cool. We called those things "filmstrips" here - used them all the time in grade school in the 60s. Commercial entities used them in 'training' a lot also into the very early 70s.
Youre correct - there is a separate soundtrack, usually with a 'tone' to tell you when to advance the film.

VERY cool car, and definitely one of a kind. I remember seeing it at Carlisle once but never again after that.
