some people use propane to kill moles. It's heavier than air and suffocates them.

I have a few of those for burning weeds and slash burning. Not effective on moles.

I've tried different poisons, mole traps, 12 gauge, 9mm, pitchfork, shovel and garden claw. The most effective means so far is the Gopherhawk trap.

Not as fun as the 12 gauge but more consistent results.

I normally have two or three pair of them fellas kick'n around here. They follow me all around the yard, looking to see what I'm up to next. They love it when I'm stacking wood for the winter. It becomes their own private resort hotel, and a safe haven from the Falcons that frequent the property as well.
