MGB with a C hood. Now fitted with a Rover 4.0 ltr V8, TR7 5 speed, MGC rear end, Disc's all round + a lot more
In the 70s a guy on the east coast was pulling the motors from new, MGB's and installing rover V eights. People liked them so much, British Leyland started doing it themselves and quit selling motors to the guy.

the Rover V8 ( based from the GM 215) and transmission are probably 250-300 pounds lighter than the MGC six cylinder and trans and 100 HP more. That's a lot for a 2,000 pound car
