PHUCKIN AWSOME!!
Found a video that reminded me of your "buddy" Chris Baum. I posted that the Mopar Missile in 1971 would come off the line T 8800 rpm. He came back with "Noway Pal" and some other remark. Couldn't locate the 8800 rpm to answer him.
Was watching a video, when it was over saw this video in the back round. Does anyone know exactly what
Sox&Nartin really Buddy Martin did to get the oil system so they could turn their engine that high.
There's some dumb stuff.

Maybe that’s when they learned about oil passages? AI for certain. I do like the old footage, albeit loaded with backwards photos, a few Max Wedges, a 409 Chevy, a straight 6 and lots of SBC’s. Meh… but, don’t forget the Hemi had literally 34 less CI than the competition back in the early 70’s. That’s a superior engine.

Oh my God....that video is absolutely terrible.

The narrator/photo guy don't know Mopars for sure, agree. My reason for posting is what drilling modifications did they do. I'm sure Hemi builders know but why tell anyone? They probably tell you for X dollars I'll do it, but are you getting the real thing.

Nobody is using any of that old crap in serious hemi racing, today. When they went prostock racing [early 70's], they got most of their serious info and trick parts from the Missile team.
I spent many hours talking with those guys. Lots of stories....
