If I put a 4.10 gear in my rear end,and have 28" tires in the back and 26" in the front, will I have to do anything in the rear end as far as pinion angle? or anything that would require maching?
Hi Ben,
You don't have to worry about it. The stock pinion angle will be fine. The tire sizes won't mess with the pinion angle. The rear tire size will change the gear size a little. The taller the tire the longer it takes to go around. The easiest way to tell the gear with tall tires is to jack up the car, mark the tire and driveshaft and rotate the tire one time and count how many times the drive shaft goes around. That will give you an idea of what gear it is running with the tall tires.Hope it helps.
