Has anyone ever bought a Dana 60 out of a truck and had it shortened for a
b body? Found a junkyard with a ton of old dodge and ford trucks, i can get one cheap.. Just wondering about the cost? An if there is a particular year/model to pull one out of? It will be going in my 64 Fury, should be making around 600+ rwhp.

It's done all the time. One thing about the truck Danas tho. They don't have any accommodation for a snubber. As far as cost goes, that would depend on who is doing the cutting and making the new axles.

Regarding the pinion snubber, You can attach one to the floor pan of the car or create your own bracket to attach one to the rear end. The only guys it should bother if it is not a true car rear end with the factory provision for the snubber are the numbers matching kind of guys.

Thanks guys, Im gonna give this a shot, probably try to pick up 2 or 3, just in case..lol

Contact Me.I Can get you set up on everything you need.
If you are Going to Race or Hot Rod this car you will either need a Set of Ladder Bars installed or different rear suspension than stock. It WILL Have Spring Bind without Some Kind of Snubber..I May be able to get you a complete rear-end for about the same price you'd have in it in the end as the Truck Dana...

I think that if you use a truck rearend, you have to use diffrent axle flanges and get passenger car brakes....I can't remember for sure.....

That Is Correct Blue...
The ONLY Things you use on a Truck Axle is the Center Section,Ring And Pinion(If theyre what size you want)and the Center Housing.

I Have done MANY of these over the years...They Can be as much as a New Unit by the time you buy the Axle ends,Tubes,Axles,Brake Assemblies,etc...

Seems like I remember seeing an ad in somwhere and Strange is offering a complete Dana style rearend for a really reasonable price. Just bolt in and go.
I'm sure it's less that I paid for the original B body dana under my car.
Seems like 1700 is the price sticking in my head for some reason.
