Getting close to finishing up my new rear firewall. Any recommendations on a sealant that is flame retardant? I’ve used just a general purpose sealant in the past and would like to upgrade. This 3M seems solid but I strongly prefer something that is silver or black. I’ve also heard some of the flame retardant sealants get brittle and fall out due to vibration. Anyone experience this? Is it even worth it?

Intumescent is for sealing holes and large cracks.....not really for automotive applications AFAIK.

According to the picture on the tube, it looks like it would do exactly what you want.
I just used some regular caulking, but still sleep well.
