Rear Seat Back Interchange 68 Charger

Can anyone confirm if a rear seat back out of a 4 door B body (68-70) will install correctly into a 68 Charger ?


My seat frame has rust damage and am looking for a replacement......

I would be surprised if they would attach the same. My '69 Dart for instance, for some reason has '70 seats in it. The rear seat back fits, but I can not attach the bottom of the seat back. It hangs at the top by the package tray, and the seat bottom holds it in place. Until I get lucky and find a complete bench seat set. Rusted? Is the skeleton rusted through or just rusted? Sandblast and repaint it if it's just surface rust. I have done that.
Otherwise, check and see how they attach.

The spring wire frame around the outside of it is rusted though in the bottom left corner. Also some of the springs that attach to it.

Okay, is the 4 door seat that you are asking about local? Or you buy and ship it to find out?
