Not sure the best forum to post; so went gen. Also I'm getting ahead a bit as my new rear panels have yet to arrive and yet to know what install hassles may crop up. I put in a retro Hermosa system after my resto. With the new rear panels, last thing I want to do is cut holes in them for back speakers. Looking for advice on how fellow members have tackled rear sound in their convertibles. I know that's a stretch as it is, but for stereo sound looking at options that might have worked. Location spots, speaker selection, etc. Thanks!

Was your Hermosa a pita? I did mine a couple of weeks ago and had to take the thing apart a dozen times to get the buttons and lens lined up...

No offhand I don't think it's that model. It had to be a shaft-mount style (not a big selection of those around I had found) and made a face plate to blend with the existing one. I've had it in 2 years now and so far good.

Mine was/ is shafts, it was trying to align the face and the bolt on push buttons that gave me a fit. Took forever to get it sitting flush...had to take a fine file and open up the slot a bit so it would sit at the correct depth.

This is my radio. I gather yours is different with the bolt on PB's. I had an extra bezel to cut so it would set in the dash and made up that red back plate out of thin aluminum for necessary camouflaging. Radio has more features than I wanted; but liked the idea of tunes on a flash drive and added a power antenna.

I just realized mine is the Redondo, I bought a Hermossa chassis M2 from a friend and purchased the correct faceplate and buttons.
I beleive the Hermossa faceplate I have is chrome, if you are interested. Its brand new, never used. I'll make you a deal on it.
Thanks sorry for the confusion!
