Anyone know the wheel register size or hub size for mopar 4.5 patern 5 lug wheels. Its a 66 coronet if that matters. I have a vibration that comes on at about 70 and smoots out at about a hundred. I,m thinking I may need centric rings due to after market wheels lug centering instead of hub centering. thanks for any replies.

Check out Rockauto. On the brake drum info they list register diameters for some manufactures.
Example.........

I would think if the wheels are not centered you would feel that long before you got to 70 and it would not smooth out the faster you went. Tire balance issues usually come on around 60 and smooth out around 70 or so. You may have a tire issue.

What is the members opinion. Is having the wheels centered by all the lug nuts OK or must you have a correct hole size for the hub?..................................MO

if the wheel is attached with acorn seat lugs then it should run true to the mount.they make a mechanical runout guage for checking wheels while mounted on the car.hubcentric rings are more for unilug style wheels that dont really line up well on the studs.
hemi rebel is correct.vibs that only occure at higher speed is normally a bad tire or balance.
daredevil, have you tryed getting a road force balance?they match the hvy spot on the tire to the lightest spot on the wheel.also effects runout of the assembly.find a shop that does that if you have a continual problem, normally runs about $100.

Been chasing this for over a year. Old wheels lug holes miked .780 and most wheel lugs have a .680 shank. New wheels lugs are snug but still have a vibration but its noticably better.
