As much as I hate admitting it, I haven't been driving the Charger much at all. Over the last few years, "Stevie" has always been loyally sleeping in the garage and as the faithful car it is, always starts and runs without hiccups. She turns heads and she always makes me feel proud. Recently, I dedicated most of my time restoring and riding vintage motorcycles. Over the years the Charger accumulated a long list of small little jobs - sloppy steering, window splashers not working, disabled horn because it was honking when I turn the wheel, emergency blinkers not flashing, Dixie horn stopped working, exhaust leaks and on and on.

So how best to rekindle this passion than getting all dirty again. I bought a stage III firm feel box and PST poly suspension kit+ adjustable UCAs 3 years ago and never installed them, so it was time to pull the dash and the front end down. I have now done most jobs which were quite straight forward. Currently waiting on my welder mate to weld stiffening plates to the lower control arms. A lot of the steering slop was coming from the coupler, only to find that the shoes were installed incorrectly.

Can't wait to finish up, take the Charger to an alignment shop and start enjoying her more often!

Thanks for the post - that's a really nice ride! She looks ready to play.

So are the bumps and dings called Stevie Nicks? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Nice bike but you need to get that charger out and about.

I remember you.
You used to post over at the Charger forum. I haven't seen you over there in awhile. Didn't we chat about the Borgeson steering box and an overdrive transmission?
I go through points where I am not so motivated. It helps to have friends around that have old cars like me.

there can only be one Stevie. It was a hard decision between her and Johnette

I sure remember you too. Is the other forum still alive? I can't remember chatting about the steering box but I remember chatting about the Tremec manual conversion.
