I’d say if works, works, if not, not. It shouldn’t fail once car is running. And still failing, is about simply jump out the relay.
 
I put a wireless battery shutoff in my van. It's under the hood but unless you know what you're looking for, you would miss it. If it ever fails, I can simply take it out of the circuit and move on. Do need to carry an adjustable wrench and a screwdriver. Keeps driveaway thefts down. Tow trucks won't care.

Maybe explain why you are interested in using this?
So the remote turns on a relay when you press a button, a latched setup.
How do you start the vehicle? (this needs to be momentary so I don't think this will work as desired)
