Another reason(s) the semi hemi had lifter problems was Chrysler specified the wrong oil viscosity and along with extended oil change intervals. The MDS system uses different lifters on the cylinders that cut out. Those are usually the lifters that fail. Ford and chebby have the same problems.
There is nothing wrong with hydraulic rollers. Dont ask them to do something they aren't designed for.
