Resolutions are for quitters

I hear a lot of talk here, but

None for me!!! At my age, I don't need to change my ways as I have "EARNED THEM THE HARD WAY!!! cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Sorry Greg, lets get this back on track! LOL

2024 I don't see much changing. Maybe a bit less booze and more work getting done around here, when I'm not chasing after the Granddaugters.

Getting surgery on my foot bones march 6 . Can't use it for 4 weeks or so. So I got to drop 10lbs. From now till then cause I know I will add 10 sitting around eating. Lol.

My New Year's resolution is, I'm resolving to be more resolute.

Actually, my resolution is that get the GVOD and MPFI conversions done that I've been putting off! Hells bells I have all the parts and stuff but it's just been too much fun driving the car to commit to taking it off the road for however long these projects will take me...

This is the time of year to get in & get it done.... Should already have started.... Time is wasting away....Gotta be ready for Spring....

I never say I'm going to "stop" doing something, I just say I'm going to do it less. That way its up to someone else to quantify it if they challenge me.

In 74 years I’ve NEVER had or NEED a new year resolution.

More of wishes, more than a resolution...

Survive the BS govt. we live in,
even though I'm 100's of miles away from the BS
I don't see much of it 1st hand
But it is an election year so I do have some hope,
very lil'
almost none for the state,
too many transients & transplants, from back east
& now illegals, that get everything free off my tax dollars
But my hopes for a better future, more in/at a Federal level...

#1 my dad & my dog stays healthy & alive

#2 We, all send a bunch of them a--holes packing
& hope we don't get into another world war, because of those a--holes

#3 hope I make a killing, in the stock market, or investments I have
keep growing
I hope :praying: mine & my broker's hunches pay off, keep me on the upside

It cost me & most people here like me $$$
in groceries up 40%
& gas up 60%
electricity is going up too 20%
building materials for all my home projects (fully retired) have gone up 100%
*car ins. up 30%
& **homeowners insurance is crazy, almost doubled 90%-ish
all since Jan 2021

fortunately, I got around some of those extortion (ins. market) scams,
with *stated mileage/usage clause
& **bigger/much higher deductibles
(some here say; it isn't :jackoff: a f--kin' scam/extortion)

All 'because of some peoples' extremely
poor decisions on their votes

I'll just, 'Procrastinate for now', put off some stuff/projects,
I would otherwise have done already, if not for the extra expenses
for everyday life since Jan 2021, now on pretty much a fixed income...

Thanks for nothing
a--holes

Happy New Year to all

Don't make resolutions

has a way of HAPPENING, altering things forcing you to adapt, adjust, overcome often deleting that resolution

I never felt obligated to make them, it just seemed like tradition to do so.
Some I have met, some have slipped out of reach.
I like goals though. It gives me something to work toward rather than going about aimlessly.
I have notebooks here going back some 30+ years. Some of the goals I've had were pie in the sky bullshit!
It is funny the stupid things that we sometimes think are so important.

I stopped making New Years resolutions when I turned 21, and set a series of long term goals. As the cards of life were dealt, I made periodic adjustments, but kept the same basic strategy in place. Lucky for me it worked.
