Rick Derringer won't be down.

I saw him and his band play at a bar in New Jersey in the late 70's. As I recall it was a great show and he had some fine looking groupies in attendance. Rest in peace Rick, thanks for the music and memories.

Rip
He was fantastic we saw home at a local bar in the early 80s I probably wasn't even drinking age.

Great artist, had a lot of influence with other artists too.
Here he is back in 1966 with the McCoys. He hadn't changed his name yet, was still known as Rick Zehringer.

My friend back in my Navy days, gave me a Rick Derringer cassette for Christmas 1980. We were “haze gray and underway” at the time. Steaming around the Gulf of Oman. My shop (VAW-122 Airframes) did a secret santa thing. I loved that cassette, and eventually wore it out. I will always remember it. R.I.P John Wickenhofer, my lifelong best friend.

R.I.P. Rick Derringer, thanks for the great music.

My uncle ran the sound board for him a few times when he played shows in Ohio in the late 70's.

(I believe he was from Marysville, or thereabouts)

I finally got to see him around 2010.

Was a good show in a small-ish venue.

At my prime guitar playing, I used to practice RNRHC.

NOT easy to play. Very "busy".

RIP Rick.

He played with Johnny and Edgar Winter and Weird Al too. Those were the days when you could say ,come'on little pu$$y gonna do it to you!
