I have read some of the other posts pertaining to rim/tire size. I would like to get the latest and greatest thoughts from everyone here.

Current setup is stock springs with 255/60/15 on the rear and 225/70/14 on the front.

Will be adding S/S springs and would like to go up in tire size on the back. I'm assuming a 15 X 8 with a 4.5 BS will work with 275/60/15 tires with no issues. Is there room for a taller tire than this?

As for the front, I'm thinking about also going with the 15 X 8 rim, but what size tire is recommended?

Mike

....well, I think you've got the greatest already, but I'm partial to fat tires.

275/60/15 is what I have on 15x8 steels. It's a tight fit. Might need body mods if you go any bigger.

Are you running stock springs or super stocks? I don't want to have to any mods other than adding the S/S springs.

what about with a 65 Coronet with a 1968 width dana diff?
would you still be looking at a 8" rim , 4 1/2BS and a 275/60R15 or 255/70R15 tire ?

Tex

what about a 65 Coronet with a 1968 Dana ?
would you still be able to use a 8" rim,4 1/2 BS with a 275/60R15 tire , maybe a 255/70R15 ?

SS springs, 275-60-15, 4.5 backspace, front 225-70-15, neutral, look great

SS springs yes.

Up front I have 255/60/15 on 15x8 rims. I had some issues with the tire rubbing the inside corner of the fender opening while turning. I trimmed off a bit of the inside lip and no more issues.

A 66-67 b-body 8 3/4 is a little narrower than an early 8 3/4

Thanks, so I'm good on the back with the 275/60/15, and I believe on the front I'm going to go with a 235/70/15 on a 15x7 rim. I don't think I will have any clearance issues up front with the 235/70/15.

Getting ready to purchase tires. Going with 235/70/15 on the front and am thinking about going with 255/70/15 on the back because it gives me another 1" in height on the tire vice the 275/60/15. After adding S/S springs, will I have any clearance issues with this taller tire on the Coronet?

Going with Torque Thrust all the way around, 15x7 front, and 15x8 rear.
