I have hit a snag on installed my exterior roof rail trim. This in on my 65 Coronet 500. My book shows nothing on this trim. I not succeeding attaching it to the roof rail. there's 2 clips. The hook on the top hooks on gutter ? Just does not look right. Am I missing another piece that goes with it ? I do have some trim I do not know what it is. I have from a belvedere mixed in with my coronet stuff.
If this was a A body I would know. 1st B body
Thanks for the help

I don't think the A pillar trim has the 2 screw tangs. That piece should slide over the piece you already have on and then there is another piece that ties into that piece and the windshield trim/A pillar trim. The seams meet at the end of the wing window. Here is a picture from a 65 Satellite. Hope this helps.

Jim, you can get those clips but i wouldn't even bother with them, the ones they sell are different then the stock ones and they I think all they do is knock the paint off of the drip rail so it can rust under the trim. The center piece is "Captured" by the front and back piece. I have seen where the center piece has a small joining clip slid inside of it that slides inside of the piece to the rear and I have seen it where the center piece of trim is a little longer and goes over top of the rear piece of trim,64' Polara vs. 65' Coronet?, idk. I was advised to side the clip into both pieces and install together as one with adhesive on the vertical part of the drip-rail. Easier said than done but it works well, doesn't move around and Imposible for it to fall off.

Got it now. I was thinking the hook on top of the clip hung on drip rail. The hook is only a spacer to leave a gap allowing water from the roof to flow into the gutter.
I guess I was trying to over complicate it.
Thank everyone for helping!!
