Has anyone installed the Shumacher wiper seal kit with the zerk fittings? I would like to install the zerk fittings but where is the best location for the fitting top or bottom of the pivot shaft. I don't have the car at my place to check, and see if there is anything in the way for zerk fitting access down the road. If anyone has some pics that would be great. This kit has the press in zerks.

"69" my car has 86,000 on it , why pay extra for zerk fittings? You're not gonna live that long, lol.

Middle is where I put them.
Use waterproof synthetic grease.
Autozone has Mobile One.

oldbee, you are correct. I know I will never grease them again but I wanted to grease them now since they are pretty dry.

Onlyone are they installed in the car facing down or to the windshield.

I would think towards w/shield would be better, but then it's been many years since I delved that deep. It's coming soon because seals need replaced.

I did mine toward the top. Thought that the grease might get hot and drip out the fitting. I just chose that because I needed a reason.

The reason that the use of the zerk fittings were put into use was the heavier grease would displace the water and prevent possible leaks around worn shafts.

It seems to me that if Shumacher created a kit with zerks, they should have sent some directions along. For me, it was not a question of how much the wipers would get used or if they would ever get greased again but mine were very dry and didn't turn at all. They needed grease and the only way I could think of was to add the zerk. IMO, it really don't matter whether the zerk is on the bottom, top, or center, as long as you can get some good grease in there.
Here is a pic of what I did.
