My buddy wants to put a roller cam in his 440 Charger. He a wants a cam with more low end power than top end. He said he’d like it to be around 500/500 lift 110 lobe separation.
His block is bored 30 over
He’s either running Edelbrock E Street or Indy EZ heads (I can’t remember)
10.75 compression
2500 stall
8 3/4 w/ 3:54
He’s just trying to get some suggestions for a good street car cam.
Thanks
Bob

Just remember, with a roller and those heads( esp the indys) you are shooting yourself in the foot/ wasting money with a low lift cam like .500"
It's the duration that needs to be defined for rpm operation.

With 10.75 compression, that cam spec is going to be a nightmare on pump gas. He needs more duration to bleed off cylinder pressure or it will detonate constantly. Also, limiting a roller to .500 lift is wasting the potential of those heads. I’d recommend he call Hughes or Jones Cams for a custom grind to handle that compression safely.

OK, thanks for all the help guys. I’ll let him know and show him the thread so he could see for himself what you guys are coming up with thanks again Bob.

I did forget to mention I’m sorry that the bottom end is stroked out the 499. Not sure if that’s gonna make any difference

No one is going to be able to make an informed cam selection without way more data on the combo.

Well, unless their crystal ball has the latest software update.
