rusted cars

Yup...used to chase rust issues with my first car because I spent a good deal of time in Galveston surfing. The car also saw a lot of on beach driving which included a good share of doing doughnuts and spins! My record is around 8 360's iirc :D

I hear it all the time, we out west complain about nothing compared to the rust belt cars, they say you come to expect having to replace quarters and such it's an automatic out there. Guess we are spoiled here in the west low humidity :)

I don't think I could afford or stomach a repair of the magnitudes some of you guys deal with. More power to you!

The rust is one thing, do it enough its just part of the plan and you get better at doing them, but so many out here think they should have the same prices for a rusty project as you guys pay for a project. Not all the time ive seen folks get cars out west that weren't all that high depending on what they are, but most any here especially if it has Mopar on it, price gos up.

At least a rusty project is an honest car- you know what you're getting into. I've seen people buy southern cars that were full of mud and terrible workmanship. I'd rather buy a car knowing what needs to be done than one with questionable work that has been done.
I'd certainly like to find a 'rust free' car! I looked for several months for a good 66-71 b body, I even had an ad on this site. I don't think they are nearly as common as people think. I'm sure you can get a coronet or satellite, but I find it pretty darn hard to find a rust free roadrunner or superbee! In fact, let me know if you find one.

Alot depends on how much you want to spend. I see them for sale but the price for what you are looking for is the most expensive and rare only so many built.
