I've had my '68 Coronet on the road for a few months now, yesterday heard a constant squeek noise coming from the rear. 456/457 S/S springs, new shackles and bushings. i found the noise coming from the right spring ( 456 ), i noticed there are no isolator pads between the leafs. There aren't even any holes drilled. The left spring is fine, has the pads. Looked at the 002/003 springs on my dart and they both have the isolator pads between the leafs. I was told by Mopar tech line that this is normal, they said they were designed for function and not concerned with noises. The guy also said some have them and some dont. Anybody come across this before ? Seems like a bullshit excuse for poor quality control to me ...
