Scottsdale Pavilions Rock & Roll Car Show Permanently Canceled?

Sad to hear.

I've seen this happed with cruise-in at multi-business malls before. Usually it's the shop owners saying the Cruise-In is taking parking and/or traffic that's getting in the way of regular business.

As a result the morning ones were/are strict about getting everyone out before the first business opens.

Was the cruise almost getting too big for the venue?

I don't know the day or time the famous Pavilions cruise took place though.

There was a rumor back in the fall that the Pavillions was on thin ice

It's on Saturday nights so I don't think it was interfering with the businesses, in fact the Mc Donalds there probably did it's best business during the cruise.

I do see businesses like Target, Home Depot, bowling, kids place, etc that would be open on a Saturday night at 4pm.

of course, I've never been there. So I have no idea if parking lot fills up or what's going on behind scenes.

These malls out here are getting pinched for revenue, and they look for solutions and scapegoats. ...As opposed to trying to creatively leverage 100's or 1000 people handed right at their front door.

Seems like it would be easier to offer discount coupons to those attending.

I thought I had heard that a while back. They were moving it to another location up (n) the 101
