We use Sea Foam to clean out 2 stroke outboards that get soot build up. Its not a lubricant. What I have used in the past is storage seal from Mercury for their outboards, like the fogging oil above it is made to lubricate the cylinder walls and upper end.

I coat the cylinders with motor oil on every motor I put together incase they don't get fired for a while, never had a problem.. oil burns out pretty quick. Might be worth a piece of mind to pull a few plugs and look inside, likely whoever bolted it together used some lube.

I agree just about any oil will work followed by cycling the motor.

Thanks. I did the assembly and coated the cylinders BUT it’s been a while. I’ve been told here about fogging and that seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the info.
