I need to replace some of the seam sealer in the floorpan areas after some rust repair. whats recommended for that, or could a guy use a plyable caulking of some sort?

I use Evercoat Seam Sealer...Brushable/paintable, easy to apply, looks factory..... My 2 cents

black diamond worked well on my 65 . flows real nice. just my 3 cents

Wurth is a good brushable as well.

Stay away from the 3M brushable stuff, it shrinks too much.

I agree Pete...The plain brushable 3M stuff is nothing to brag about. I use the Wurth Satin Black trim paint....Fantastic stuff, especially if you want to add a little texture (couple dry coats..walla!)

I used Lord Fusor 019 seam sealer. A little pricy, and you need a special cork gun that has a dual action to mix it as it comes out. This stuff is amazing, and easy to work with. I think it was worth the money.

The paintable seam sealer, is it thick enough, i've got at least an inch wide gap where i need to fill in?

I use auveco. I believe that is what the factory used. $8 a tube.

well, its not an inch wide, but it definantly is factory width, not rust.
