Didn’t this administration say they were going to get rid of daylight savings time? I specifically remember them talking about it last spring when we moved forward an hour. Promises made, promises broken, as usual.

California voters apparently couldn't end this bullshit on their own, but they passed a proposition to enable the legislature to end it.
The california all-demoncrat legislature did NOTHING.

That’s cause the people wanted it. They never pass any legislation that benefits the rubes. That’s rule #1.

Yep. The dogs will wake me up to go pee at the same time. Midnight, and 4am.

The cats will start ganging up on me at the usual time for them, they don’t care if the clock says they have to wait.

The issue seems to come up regularly, but one problem that never gets resolved, is if it was abolished, which year round standard would apply?
Some want to get rid of daylight savings time. From my prospective that would be horrible!
I hate when it gets dark early.
I love summer cruise nights, we have daylight until 8:30 here at longest days of year in June. Even in September it’s still light until after 7 but sunset earlier every day. Thinking of that changing, would make summer evening car events less fun.
All the outdoor chores I do in fair weather month evenings would be curtailed.
I know others are morning people, like a first thing in the morning round of golf or be able to walk the dog in daylight.
There’s fans of each, whichever standard got selected would cause a permanent loss of quality of life to those whose preference lost out.
