Working in a plan for my '65 Belevedere 2 door post car. I've been going to a lot of car shows looking at paint jobs. Usually the bad body work stands out like a sore thumb to me.....especially the drip rail area. Has anyone on here shaved them off and welded the same to make it more modern looking? I've seen several cars online with this done, but haven't found any older B-bodies. I'm 99% sure it will look great, but I'd like to see some pictures.

Random pic for reference.

I seen a 2 door post Valiant with it done and the guy regretted it. He tried like heck to sell it and gave it away. It’s not going to look any more modern just something missing that ties things together.

Funny thing happened at a car cruise/show Thursday.
A young man asked what that curved up edge was on my car, I said it’s a rain gutter, he replied “that is really cool, why don’t they do that anymore?”
I didn’t have an answer.
