Early B Body turn signal switch discussion. Shee Mar SM102

And here another informative link… for 64/66

Turn Signal Switch & Harness Assembly for 1964-1966 MoPar B-Body | eBay

Description show PNs. JUST IN CASE, ppl want to search by PN instead application

And a NOS piece… not really expensive if you ask me
Dodge 1963 1964 1965 1966 Brand New Turn Signal Switch TS102 2631383 2822170 | eBay
Both of those look identical to the one I bought. If the seller posts OEM part numbers that throws a red flag for me unless the part has the part number on it like the original did.

Mopar Performance replacements available around 10-15 years ago got the cornering lamps feature under the regular 72 and lates A,B and E body setup. These were just like the Chinese replacements, without the bearing for the horn ring, but just the brass stud.

Turn Signal Switch# 3488804 / 4240278 / 4293103 - 1973-79 - Dodge - Plymouth - Chrysler - NOS - SHIPS FREE TO LOWER 48 - Blue Star Performance

I have also seen Mopar replacements like this but using the correct PN (the 804) for our 72 and lates cars.

Can’t recall Mopar Performance replacements for earlier models with cornering lamps.
Shows out of stock. I wonder if they will get new stock?

I don't know why I didn't think of doing this before I installed mine. Plug it in and test the operation before installing it in the column. At least that way I can see if it's defective before installing it. If I plug it in and my brake lights are still wonky, back it goes.

The tag on my switch I took out was #2496163 The parts book above was from My Mopar and I would imagine the #2822170 was a superseded number. Those will give me something to search for any way.

Yep, yikes! NOS though.
Turn Signal Switch# 2822170 / 2496163 / 2631383 - A - B - C - Body - 1964-66 - NOS - SHIPS FREE TO LOWER 48 - Blue Star Performance

Looks like a used one. Not a repop like the title says.

I just read a thread on A Bodies than Dan's switch # is TS102. Same as SM102 (Shee Mar)? Both are supposed to be made in the US.

I made this thread a sticky so it will be easier to find. There are thousands of early cars that may need a switch. Thanks @Bob Jordan for starting the thread.
