Installed a new turn signal switch in the 64 Sport Fury today. Used the Rock Auto Shee-Mar SM102 switch.
Not a horrible job but:
Someone else had damaged the threads where the puller bolts go so cleaning those up added some time.
As others have said fishing the wires for the new switch back down the column is tedious. I attached a piece of thin mechanics wire to the bottom of the old harness (after removing the leads from the connector) so that when I pulled the old switch up and out my fish wire came through with it. Make sure you make it long enough!!
The SM102 is NOT an exact fit. You have to trim the white plastic base in a few spots for it to nest in properly.
Repining the new leads to the old connector shell - take a few pictures and make a few sketches.
The SM102 seems to work fine -brakes, turns, horn all good!
