Sherwin Williams automotive paint Good or bad?

getting ready to put color on the engine compartment of my roadrunner I have a ppg place close to me and a sherwin Williams store close.I have used all spi products so far (epoxy primer and 2k primer) and I am going to use their clear coat. Just don't know which base to use any input would be appreciated. Any experience good or bad?

I used S-W paint years ago and if it hasn't changed much then its probably ok. I`ve also had the opportunity use Omni base lately and will likely never use it again. It didn't hide well and seems to chip easy. I do like global which seems to hold out nice and cover well. Anyway just my experiences as of late. Hope it helps a little.

My friend who owns a bodyshop just changed over to S-W. It's fine, but just a little different than Spies Hecker. He had to change because of the prices. The insurance companies don't like paying for top-of the lineproducts. PPG is a better product than S-W though, a little pricier also. What color are you shooting?

I know a guy that uses it exclusively.

He does some great work including flip/flop.

I had never heard of it before that.

From what I have heard through the years , is that there are only 3 paint mfgs. in the United States , and Sherwin Williams is the largest.

I painted my Fury myself. Used SW primer/base/clear crossfire 56 series because it was the cheapest option. Came out pretty good for a garage paint job - first time painter.

I went with sherwin Williams base and s.p.i clear. The color I went with is intense blue pearl coat it's a factory dodge truck color I couldn't be happier came out great.

Very nice ! That SPI is the cats ***. Did you use Euro or Universal ?
