Does anyone know how long the shift rod is on a 69 b body ,727 auto on the column. The rod that goes from the frame to the transmission.

It's the torque shaft. I just finished modifying the brackets and torque shaft to get above my headers. Maybe describe your objective, so we can be helpful. I assume that's just a picture you found? Do you have the 2 brackets or any of it? Are you trying to fabricate a new assembly from scratch? They sell whole assemblies on e bay. To determine the length you must fabricate the 2 brackets. The frame bracket stays the same for most, but the trans bracket has a few different configurations. Also the torque shaft has a few versions. The distance between brackets determine torque shaft length, but not the placement of the welded levers on the shaft.
